The Women's Diversity Network held its 2nd annual summit at SUNY Old Westbury.  The day long summit included over 30 workshops, multicultural entertainment,  a diverse lunch menu and networking throughout the day.

The Long Island Women's Diversity Network and  held a non-partisan, multicultural event! Many community members and groups came together to dine, dance and network.  We also had a chance to hear from Liuba Gretchen Shirley (Candidate for Congress - 2nd District) and  Taylor Raynor (Candidate for Assembly -18th District).

Language of Cultural Awareness Panel & Membership Drive

The panel on the Language of Cultural Awareness was truly incredible...powerful, enlightening, challenging, engaging and forward moving.  Prospective members learned more about opportunities to join the network.

Summer Mixer

To kick off the Summer, the LIWDN held its first networking event/information session.  Prospective members and supporters were given the chance to ask questions and learn about the many ways to get involved with the network.  This event took place at The Main Event in Farmingdale.

After the summit, attendees and summit organizers joined the students of SUNY Old Westbury as they marched around the campus in support of stricter gun laws and gun reform in the U.S
